The eastern part of Tennessee is very mountainous and is broadly split between the Smoky Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
They’re both breathtaking, and they meld together so seamlessly that you probably won’t be able to tell when you cross from one into the other.
It’s a positively fantastic place to get married, and wedding venues in the Tennessee mountains are abundant.
You’re really spoiled for choice here, but we’ve written this article to help you narrow the list down a bit and make it easier for you to choose the perfect venue for your wedding.
It’s us!
Yes, of course, Rosewood Farm is on this list.
But it’s not without justification.
Rosewood Farm earns its spot on this list of the most sought-after wedding venues in the Tennessee mountains by providing stunning landscape views of the Sequatchie Valley and a historic venue dating back to the 19th century.
Inside the main building, you’ll find painted white interiors with circular chandeliers and a forking staircase from which you and your new spouse can descend for your reception dinner and post-ceremony photos.
It’s all very tasteful and architecturally in keeping with local traditions.
And outside of that building, you’ll find some of the best mountain views in the entire state of Tennessee.
But that’s only the aesthetics.
Rosewood Farm is also a local institution with a long and established history of hosting weddings.
That means you won’t have trouble arranging everything you need with the help of the friendly staff and partner vendors.
The truth is that we just love what we do, and we want you to have the best experience possible.
And it’s that attitude that you should look for with any venue you are considering.
Another one of the most phenomenal indie wedding venues in the Tennessee mountains.
We know we said that Rosewood Farm has great views, and that’s true.
But if Rosewood Farm has a rival in that department, it has to be Sugar Hollow because they really go all-out to make sure you have the most opportunities possible for terrific photos.
They have several different outdoor spaces where you can have your ceremony, as well as a gorgeous deck overlooking the mountain valley that can be used as a dining area.
And the interior of the main building is also large and architecturally beautiful, representing the best of Smoky Mountain style.
Built in an iconic log cabin style with a stone chimney, the venue building also features an expansive porch with 2-story wooden pillars holding up the roof overhead.
It really is a stunning structure.
And did we mention that they provide accommodations in lovely farmhouses and cabins on site?
Well, they do.
This is another great venue if you’re after spectacular mountain views.
But this venue has a gazebo! Ok, they have a lot more than just that, but it’s still worth mentioning.
It’s located in Pigeon Forge, which is basically Gatlinburg.
So everything in Gatlinburg is easily accessible from here if you want.
That could be very good news for you if you like Gatlinburg and want to arrange something there for your reception or the next day after your wedding.
Aside from its advantageous location, though, the Lodge itself has a lot to offer.
And it’s really more of a resort than a lodge.
It sits on a 450-acre property with 50 luxury cabins on-site for you and your guests to use. And we do mean luxury.
Those cabins are nice.
A great option among wedding venues in the Tennessee mountains, especially if you want a venue that’s all-inclusive.
For the last entry on this list, we thought we’d include a proper resort and spa for those of you who are looking for a more opulent experience with a swimming pool, massages, and all that good stuff.
Like the previous entry on this list, it’s also located in Pigeon Forge and so offers all the same benefits in terms of location.
But the facilities and amenities on site at the RiversStone Resort and Spa are unbeatable.
From golf courses and jacuzzis to outdoor grilling areas and porches with rocking chairs, this place has everything you’d hope to find at a luxury resort that is also one of the best wedding venues in the Tennessee mountains.
Yep, this place really makes eastern Tennessee proud, and you won’t regret hosting your wedding here if you do.
Enjoy traditional mountain charm and aesthetic while also sinking into a relaxing and luxurious experience of the sort that only a proper spa can provide.
If you’re going to go to Pigeon Forge, why not experience it in the best way possible?
The Wrap Up
These are only a few of the wedding venues in the Tennessee mountains, and though we think they’re the best options, we encourage you to look around and contact several different venues before making your final decision.
Be sure to ask as many questions as you can to find out whether or not a particular venue offers everything you’re looking for and can work with all of the vendors you want to hire.
Welcome to eastern Tennessee, congratulations on your engagement, and good luck in your new life together! ♥️
